St Georges Hyde

Dear Friends,

Since the Carol Service at Christmas I’ve not been very visible or active at St Georges due to one reason or another. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the care, love, and prayers and support which so many of you have shown towards my family and myself.

This is not a recent thing either, I have always felt loved by you all at St Georges, and you are a very giving, selfless people who care deeply for those around you. Lent and Easter are fast approaching us and I know at this time many of us look for vices and activities to give up or cut out of our daily lives. I would, however, encourage you all to continue to be the loving, serving, beautiful people that you already are. So many of you sacrifice your own comforts and needs to help and encourage others, to let others know that you are thinking of them and that you are there whenever you are needed.

I know we have recently felt discouraged by the stresses and strains of being in an interregnum and experienced feelings of abandonment being without a Vicar. Praise God that we can now look forward to welcoming a new Priest-in-Charge to our Church and Community.

I want to encourage each and every one of you that you are so valued at St Georges, you are vital because each of you has something special to give, God has blessed you with gifts and talents that you may think are not significant but they absolutely are, they matter a great deal to the life and mission of the Church.

Keep being the giving, loving serving, blessed people that you are St. Georges, let your lights shine and your voices be heard, continue to love and encourage each other in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

With Much Love
